Raffa Clinic was recently honored with the Non-Profit of the Year Award by the Greenville Chamber of Commerce. Thank you so much to the Chamber staff and Board of Directors for this wonderful recognition. Along with the award, we were granted a $3,000 grant to utilize for our patient medical services and educational services.
Thank you all for your support and for continuing to build up Raffa Clinic in the community by sharing the wonderful work that we are able to do. We couldn’t be here without you!
It has been said that “nothing changes if nothing changes.” This simple truth can be seen every day at pro-life clinics like Raffa Clinic and also at abortion clinics when former clients walk through the doors wrestling with yet another agonizing pregnancy decision.
When Kirsten called Raffa Clinic, she already had a very young daughter and was not ready to be a mother again. The father of the baby had left her to fend for herself in the aftermath, dealing with medical issues and the care of an aging family member. The thought of raising a child on her own had seemed like too much work. But ultimately, Kirsten chose life and was learning to make it work. But then the unimaginable happened…Kirsten found out she was pregnant. Again.
When Kirsten called Raffa, she was distraught. Her new partner was pressuring her to have an abortion and she had no idea how she’d ever raise two kids on her own. The Raffa staff person listened, spoke with compassion, helped her process her thoughts and circumstances. Kirsten and the father of her baby came into our clinic and, after seeing their child for the first time through an ultrasound, CHOSE LIFE. Kirsten poured her thankfulness to the staff for being there during her time of need.
Because of you, Kirsten’s new baby has a future!

It’s time for our biggest night of the year! Raffa’s Annual Fundraising Dinner is always such a wonderful night. This year, we will be hearing stories of families that we have been privileged to minister to this year (because of your support!) and also hear about the wonderful things that are in store for 2018. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and we would love to see you there and ask that you be praying about how you can financially support the life-saving work of Raffa Clinic.
North Texas Giving Day is back! New for this year, donors can schedule their Giving Day gifts starting September 7th!
Donate through Raffa’s NTGD page between September 7th and September 13th, and your donation will be post on September 14th with over 2,500 donors across North Texas giving to their favorite charities.
WHY SHOULD I DONATE THROUGH GIVING DAY INSTEAD OF DIRECTLY TO RAFFA??
That is a great question! Donors can stretch their dollars further by giving through the NTGD page because the Communities Foundation of North Texas will multiply your gift with bonus funds and prizes to Raffa Clinic! How can you say no to bonus funds??
So today… get up and give. Then share Raffa’s giving link on your social media outlets. Tell others “Why I give…” so that they can see why you (personally) support Raffa Clinic. Encourage your co-workers, your church body, your friends & family to join you in supporting the life-saving work of Raffa Clinic. Our NTGD page has a short video about our organization that you can share with them. (you can watch it too:)
Thank you for supporting Raffa!
Raffa Clinic is looking for a few great nurses to join our medical team. We currently have 3 slots open and are needing to fill them asap. Our volunteer nurses (RNs & LVNs) meet with our pregnancy test patients and educate them on their pregnancy, pregnancy options, and prenatal health. NO OB EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! We will train you and equip you with all the info you need to know to serve your patients well. We also offer additional training for RNs to become nurse sonographers trained in limited obstetrical ultrasound. See our job description here volunteer nurse job description.2012.
We have day and evening volunteer hours available and ask for a 4 hour per week time commitment for a minimum of one year. If this is something you are interested in or know someone who might be just right for this opportunity, please contact Michelle at 903-454-9711 or email her at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Not a nurse? You can still support our medical team and allow them to provide these life-saving services by donating today.
Summer is far from over but before long our calendars will turn to fall. For us, this
means ramping up in several areas, not the least of which is that we will likely see
more patients and clients with some serious situations.
New relationships begin in the fall with a new school year. This can lead to more
visits to Raffa Clinic.
Though it is not easy, we are thankful to be here. Those who come in our door need
hope. We have this hope.
Those who come in our door need practical solutions and the assistance to carry
through on a life decision. We provide this, too.
Those who come in our door need a hand to hold onto during a turbulent storm in their
lives. While it can certainly be said that those who need us played a major role in
creating the upheaval, at this moment in our lives we want to help lead them through
the chaos and turbulence, toward a place of healthy decisions and perhaps, a new faith
they’ve never known before.
YOU MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Your support, unseen by those who come in our door,
provides the very foundation for this hope, help…and even healing.
Thank you. Thank you for making a difference in her life, in his life, and in the life of a
little one waiting to be born. You are appreciated and as we look toward fall, we look
ahead to providing more hope — together.
Did you know that Raffa Clinic partners with area schools to educate students and staff on sexual risk avoidance? Our abstinence education program called “Real Essentials”
provides volunteers who present high-quality engaging presentations to area
students in grades 7-12.
This program has been highly effective in local districts in reducing teen pregnancy rates in Hunt County. One local district reported a 75% decrease in their pregnant students over the first 3 years of our programming!
The goal of this program is to prevent the twin epidemics of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. It is about getting adolescents to adulthood with the least amount of emotional baggage and hurt as possible. We are currently presenting in Greenville and Quinlan ISDs for this upcoming year.
We provide this program free to area schools and we ask you to help support this fast growing program. We are currently seeking volunteers to train to be presenters as well as sponsors for this program. If you would like information on volunteering or sponsoring a program, please contact Threesa at 903-454-9751 or email@example.com.

Raffa Clinic has continued to grow over the previous year and with our new expansion into Quinlan, new volunteer opportunities have risen. There are MANY different ways to serve at Raffa Clinic and NEW volunteer roles and times available. If you work 9-5 or have kids with you during the day, don’t let that hinder you. We now have evening volunteer opportunities available!
Client Advocates: Do you have a heart for helping others? Then this volunteer position is for you. Client Advocates meet directly with our clients and help with their intake process and discuss their pregnancy options with them. You are truly their advocate and help them look at their situation and give them information about all of the options available to them.
Mentors: Do you feel called to pour into the life of someone else through mentorship? Then this is the role for you. We need men and women to come alongside and mentor our clients in the areas of parenting, relationships and life skills. This is a wonderful opportunity for discipleship!
Receptionist: This position is for the people person. Our receptionists are often the first person our clients talk to when they call or walk into our clinic. As a receptionist, you will greet clients, assist with client paperwork and answer phone calls.
Teachers: For those called to teach, we are always looking for people willing to facilitate our education classes. So many of our clients that choose to parent their children ask us for help in getting ready to have their child or help with parenting and relationship issues once their child has been born. As a volunteer teacher, you would be facilitating our Earn While You Learn program that covers topics dealing with pregnancy, parenting, household and money management, relationships and many other topics. Our class material is already prepared, you simply facilitate the class and the discussion. This is a great opportunity to educate a new generation of parents in our community.
Nurses: Our nurses have the opportunity to meet with our clients and perform their pregnancy tests and sonograms. You will discuss prenatal development and prenatal care. Our nurses often have the unique opportunity to be the first person to show our clients their new baby during their sonogram. Raffa Clinic provides training in limited obstetrical sonography for our volunteer nurses who qualify for the training. This is a unique opportunity to use your nursing skills in a new way.
Facilities: Raffa Clinic often has odd jobs that need attention. Many times these include some light painting, small repair, or other small tasks around the clinic. If you are skilled in a specific area and are willing to lend your services, please contact us and let us know. We will keep an ongoing list of facility helpers and contact you if a need arises.
Join us tomorrow at the Raffa Run!
Due to rain forecasts, we have decided to move the event indoors so we can still walk together. Instead of having the Run at the Greenville High School track, we will be meeting inside the Indoor Athletic Facility (next door to the GHS football field).
This means that we will only be able to walk at the event as there is not enough room to safely run inside the building. Our hope is that this will not deter you from coming and supporting this wonderful event for such a good cause!
Pre-registration for the Raffa Run is now closed, but you can still register on-site tomorrow at 8:30am for $35 (cash/check).
You can also still donate to help us reach our goal for this event. We have only met 30% of our fundraising goal and are asking for your support to meet this goal by tomorrow!
If you have any questions about the Raffa Run or would like to know more about other giving options, please contact Threesa at 903-454-9751 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
