It’s time for our biggest night of the year! Raffa’s Annual Fundraising Dinner is always such a wonderful night. This year, we will be hearing stories of families that we have been privileged to minister to this year (because of your support!) and also hear about the wonderful things that are in store for 2018. This is our largest fundraising event of the year and we would love to see you there and ask that you be praying about how you can financially support the life-saving work of Raffa Clinic.
North Texas Giving Day is back! New for this year, donors can schedule their Giving Day gifts starting September 7th!
Donate through Raffa’s NTGD page between September 7th and September 13th, and your donation will be post on September 14th with over 2,500 donors across North Texas giving to their favorite charities.
WHY SHOULD I DONATE THROUGH GIVING DAY INSTEAD OF DIRECTLY TO RAFFA??
That is a great question! Donors can stretch their dollars further by giving through the NTGD page because the Communities Foundation of North Texas will multiply your gift with bonus funds and prizes to Raffa Clinic! How can you say no to bonus funds??
So today… get up and give. Then share Raffa’s giving link on your social media outlets. Tell others “Why I give…” so that they can see why you (personally) support Raffa Clinic. Encourage your co-workers, your church body, your friends & family to join you in supporting the life-saving work of Raffa Clinic. Our NTGD page has a short video about our organization that you can share with them. (you can watch it too:)
Thank you for supporting Raffa!
Join us tomorrow at the Raffa Run!
Due to rain forecasts, we have decided to move the event indoors so we can still walk together. Instead of having the Run at the Greenville High School track, we will be meeting inside the Indoor Athletic Facility (next door to the GHS football field).
This means that we will only be able to walk at the event as there is not enough room to safely run inside the building. Our hope is that this will not deter you from coming and supporting this wonderful event for such a good cause!
Pre-registration for the Raffa Run is now closed, but you can still register on-site tomorrow at 8:30am for $35 (cash/check).
You can also still donate to help us reach our goal for this event. We have only met 30% of our fundraising goal and are asking for your support to meet this goal by tomorrow!
If you have any questions about the Raffa Run or would like to know more about other giving options, please contact Threesa at 903-454-9751 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
It’s easy to be a HERO!
Join us at the 7th annual RAFFA RUN! This year’s event has a few changes in store. The Raffa Run has moved to Greenville and the Greenville ISD has allowed us to use the beautiful T.A. “Cotton” Ford Stadium for our event! This will allow for a family friendly fun run that all ages can participate in!
Our theme will continue to be “Heroes Walk for LIfe” and we will have some new surprises when you arrive at the Run.
Since we are at the stadium this year, you can choose to walk one lap or 8 (2 miles). The event is stroller-friendly and kid friendly.
This year we are challenging all participants to raise funds for Raffa Clinic on your own and have prizes for our fundraising participants.
Raise $250 or more and earn a drawstring sport bag
Raise $500 or more and earn a sport bag and an infuser water Bottle
Raise $1000 or more and earn a sport bag, infuser water bottle, and a Lifesaver’s Club Fleece Jacket and VIP tickets to dinner with our staff and board.

SNAKES HAVE INVADED
THE RAFFA RUN!!
The Raffa staff was out on the the 5K trail through the woods yesterday finishing up a few last minute things in preparation for tomorrow’s event. The trail is very muddy and there is a lot of standing water. It was in one of those areas that we happened upon a cottonmouth snake! It was VERY aggressive and by the grace of God, our staff was not injured.
Because of this event, our Board of Directors and Staff have made the decision to CLOSE the 5K through the woods. There will be NO MUD RUN.
THE RAFFA RUN IS STILL ON!
We were blessed by Boles ISD and Boles Home to be able to use their campuses this year to offer a 5K and 1K on the streets of their campuses. They are paved and dry. While this option won’t be as fun as running through the woods, we feel it is the only safe option for our participants.
Please let your friends and family that were planning to come to the Run know of this change. We will still have on-site registration at 8:30am and the race will begin at 9.
We appreciate your accommodating us in this change and hope you understand our reasoning behind the last minute change. We hope to see you tomorrow at the Raffa Run!
If you have any questions about the Raffa Run, please contact Threesa at 903-456-4317.
Raffa Clinic has secured a community wide grant to help educate parents on how to raise healthy, caring, and responsible kids. The Raising Highly Capable Kids program is a 13 week parent program based on the 40 Development Assets, which are essential building blocks that every child needs to be more successful. Parents will learn to increase their knowledge of these assets and gain a skill set to strengthen their children in key areas such as: Positive Identity, Social Competence, Setting Boundaries and Expectations, Constructive use of Time, Commitment to Learning, and Positive Values. This program has the potential to help parents teach their kids to become more resilient as well as improve their GPA. We believe this program can benefit our community and we want to open this offer to everyone serving in our helping organizations. A program representative will share:
- An overview of the program
- Explanation and sampling of curriculum
- Effectiveness and impact of program
- What to expect
- How your organization can benefit

There is a day for giving thanks. There are two days for getting deals (Black Friday and Cyber Monday). Now, there is #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back. On Tuesday, December 1, 2015, people around the world will come together for one common purpose: to celebrate generosity and to give.
This #GivingTuesday, Raffa Clinic asks you to consider supporting our life-saving medical services. Even with volunteer efforts and donated items, it costs $360 per patient to provide: a lab-quality pregnancy test, a limited obstetrical sonogram, and one-on-one education with a trained nurse. Join our LIFE 360 giving program for just $30 per month to sponsor a pregnant woman in an unplanned pregnancy. Get started now through our online giving option or call us at 903-454-9711.
On an average year, approximately 400 women from Hunt County utilize Raffa Clinic’s free medical services. In addition to the medical services provided, she is given information to help her make life-affirming choices for her and her baby counseling is available to her throughout her pregnancy.
But choosing to parent is just the beginning. Through our Earn While You Learn program, we are able to come alongside our clients to support them as they raise their children. At Raffa Clinic, a woman and her family can attend class each week and class participants can receive material assistance of food, clothing, formula and diapers.
Not only are they able to get the material assistance they need, but Raffa Clinic staff and volunteers work to mentor these families during their pregnancy & parenting classes. Our goal is to impact families for the Lord and to work to break detrimental generational cycles we see so prevalent in our society.
You can get your monthly gift started now through our online giving option. You can set up the $30 per month to be automatically withdrawn from your checking or savings account or as an automatic charge to your credit card. Alternatively, you can make a one-time gift of $360 or any other amount.
We thank you for showing your support for Raffa Clinic and becoming a member of our LIFE 360 giving program!
Just a few more hours…
You only have a matter of hours to give your end of year gift to Raffa Clinic. We have been blessed with an amazing year of ministry and are anxiously awaiting the BIG things in store for 2015!
Just a few notes about 2014:
- 1,739 client visits between our Greenville and Commerce Clinics. (With our Quinlan Clinic scheduled to open this next spring, we are looking for this number to rise as we will be available to help even more people!)
- 2,196 hours of pregnancy and parenting education provided at our Greenville Clinic. This is time spent providing expectant, new, and seasoned parents with the tools they need to raise up their children in safe, Godly homes.
- 449 pregnancy tests. That is 449 opportunities to sit face-to-face with a girl in a crisis situation and help her to slow down…take a deep breath…and really look at all of her options. 449 chances to answer her questions about abortion and let the facts speak for themselves…that this isn’t the best choice for her or her child.
- 187 sonograms. This is 187 times this year we were able to introduce a mother (and often, a father) to her baby. Our statistics tell us that 90-95% of the time a woman has an sonogram in our clinic, she WILL choose life for her baby. 187 times to see a new baby’s heart beating and little precious feet kicking away. 187 chances to make a difference in both the life of that child and the life of that mother.
Goals and plans for 2015:
- Open a new Raffa Clinic in Quinlan in the spring to better serve the needs of our clients in the Quinlan/Tawakoni areas.
- Expand our outreach to abortion vulnerable women and girls at TAMU-C, PJC, and local High Schools.
- Present our abstinence program in every school district in Hunt County.
- Begin a Fatherhood Program to equip the fathers in our clinic to be great fathers to their new babies.
- Expand our Marriage Mentoring program to strengthen the client families at Raffa.
- Minister to more women and men through one-on-one discipleship through our Hope Program.
How you can be a part:
Donate. We count on your financial support. Raffa Clinic is primarily supported by the Hunt County community. We offer one-time and monthly automatic giving via your credit card or your checking account. We also accept mail-in donations to: PO Box 9325, Greenville, TX 75404.
Volunteer: Raffa Clinic has MANY different ways to volunteer and we have volunteer orientations scheduled all throughout 2015. As we are expanding our services, we have even more need. Men and women are welcome (and needed).
Pray: Remember us in your daily prayer and sign up to receive emails when specific prayer needs arise for our clients, staff, or the ministry as a whole.
