North Texas Giving Day lasts all week!!

North Texas Giving Day is back! New for this year, donors can schedule their Giving Day gifts starting September 7th!

Donate through Raffa’s NTGD page between September 7th and September 13th, and your donation will be post on September 14th with over 2,500 donors across North Texas giving to their favorite charities.

That is a great question! Donors can stretch their dollars further by giving through the NTGD page because the Communities Foundation of North Texas will multiply your gift with bonus funds and prizes to Raffa Clinic! How can you say no to bonus funds??

So today… get up and give. Then share Raffa’s giving link on your social media outlets. Tell others “Why I give…” so that they can see why you (personally) support Raffa Clinic. Encourage your co-workers, your church body, your friends & family to join you in supporting the life-saving work of Raffa Clinic. Our NTGD page has a short video about our organization that you can share with them. (you can watch it too:)

Thank you for supporting Raffa!

Back to School

back to school

Summer is far from over but before long our calendars will turn to fall. For us, this
means ramping up in several areas, not the least of which is that we will likely see
more patients and clients with some serious situations.

New relationships begin in the fall with a new school year. This can lead to more
visits to Raffa Clinic.

Though it is not easy, we are thankful to be here. Those who come in our door need
hope. We have this hope.

Those who come in our door need practical solutions and the assistance to carry
through on a life decision. We provide this, too.

Those who come in our door need a hand to hold onto during a turbulent storm in their
lives. While it can certainly be said that those who need us played a major role in
creating the upheaval, at this moment in our lives we want to help lead them through
the chaos and turbulence, toward a place of healthy decisions and perhaps, a new faith
they’ve never known before.

YOU MAKE THIS HAPPEN. Your support, unseen by those who come in our door,
provides the very foundation for this hope, help…and even healing.

Thank you. Thank you for making a difference in her life, in his life, and in the life of a
little one waiting to be born. You are appreciated and as we look toward fall, we look
ahead to providing more hope — together.

Abstinence Program, Information for Supporters

The “Real Essentials”

college girl with folder

Did you know that Raffa Clinic partners with area schools to educate students and staff on sexual risk avoidance? Our abstinence education program called “Real Essentials”
provides volunteers who present high-quality engaging presentations to area
students in grades 7-12.

This program has been highly effective in local districts in reducing teen pregnancy rates in Hunt County. One local district reported a 75% decrease in their pregnant students over the first 3 years of our programming!

The goal of this program is to prevent the twin epidemics of teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. It is about getting adolescents to adulthood with the least amount of emotional baggage and hurt as possible. We are currently presenting in Greenville and Quinlan ISDs for this upcoming year.

We provide this program free to area schools and we ask you to help support this fast growing program. We are currently seeking volunteers to train to be presenters as well as sponsors for this program. If you would like information on volunteering or sponsoring a program, please contact Threesa at 903-454-9751 or

Tomorrow is the BIG DAY!

Raffa Run MS Banner.2017

Join us tomorrow at the Raffa Run!

Due to rain forecasts, we have decided to move the event indoors so we can still walk together. Instead of having the Run at the Greenville High School track, we will be meeting inside the Indoor Athletic Facility (next door to the GHS football field).

This means that we will only be able to walk at the event as there is not enough room to safely run inside the building. Our hope is that this will not deter you from coming and supporting this wonderful event for such a good cause!

Pre-registration for the Raffa Run is now closed, but you can still register on-site tomorrow at 8:30am for $35 (cash/check).

You can also still donate to help us reach our goal for this event. We have only met 30% of our fundraising goal and are asking for your support to meet this goal by tomorrow!

Fathers, Information for Supporters, Volunteer

What’s Dad Got to Do with It?

it is your responsibility.fatherhood
Men are frequently ignored in the cultural conversation about pregnancy, abortion, adoption, and parenting. Yet the thoughts of the baby’s father or her feelings about him can be amongst the most important factors in a woman’s pregnancy decision. Some women will go through an unwanted abortion in order to avoid losing a relationship with a man they love. Other women will choose abortion rather than consider the possibility that a man they distrust would ever gain custody of their child. Conversely, women who feel secure in their relationship with their partner and who know that he wants the baby, are more likely to carry to term.

  • When men come into our clinic seeking help, there are many services that Raffa Clinic offers. If a man comes into a center seeking help when his girlfriend or wife is considering abortion, we ask him to bring her into the center. We ask them to come together or separately, depending on the circumstances. Men are often very interested in understanding abortion procedures and risks, as well as how the decision to abort could affect their relationship with their partner.
  • Likewise, if a woman comes into Raffa stating that her boyfriend or husband is pressuring her to have an abortion, she will be informed that no one has the legal right to force her to abort against her will. Raffa can help her find the resources to support her decision to carry her child to term.
  • If a woman would like to place her child for adoption, but her partner is resisting the adoption, we welcome him to join her. Together, we can help the father and mother explore his concerns about adoption. Many times, both men and women have fears about adoption that are based on misunderstandings of the adoption process and their rights. Raffa can help couples come to a reality-based understanding of the benefits and challenges related to adoption so they can make a decision that they can live with long-term.

Men need to be supported and empowered to make life-affirming decisions just as women do. The stress of an unexpected pregnancy can be terrifying for a man and fear of unwanted fatherhood may leave him feeling that abortion is an easy answer that will put his life “back to normal.” However, he may never have explored positive ways being a father could change his life. For many men, the emotional impact of losing a child to abortion is significant and painful.

Fathers need pregnancy centers too.
